A VPN creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and a server in a safe country. Your internet provider sees only scrambled data — they cannot see what websites you visit, what apps you use, or what you read.
AgapeTree uses a technology called Reality protocol that makes your VPN traffic look like ordinary everyday internet activity — the same kind of traffic generated when visiting a bank or shopping online. Government systems cannot tell the difference.

The moment your device connects to WiFi without a VPN, it sends dozens of automatic requests — checking email, updating apps, syncing contacts. If your Bible app checks for updates, that request is visible. These first few seconds of unprotected connection can expose you.
Many VPN apps allow you to enable "auto-connect" or "connect on startup." Turn this on and let the app protect you automatically.

Airports are among the most surveilled internet environments on earth. In many countries, immigration authorities can link your arrival records to your WiFi activity.
A missionary lands in a monitored country and connects to airport WiFi to check ministry email. Immigration records show their passport arrived at 2:00pm. Government logs show "Christian ministry website accessed from airport WiFi at 2:15pm." Their passport identity is now permanently linked to their ministry activity — before they even leave the terminal.

A pastor sits in a coffee shop and opens Telegram to coordinate next Sunday's house church gathering — without VPN. Another person in the same coffee shop is running a simple "man-in-the-middle" tool on their laptop. They capture the pastor's login credentials, message content, and the names and phone numbers of everyone in the chat. The pastor never knows it happened.
A believer sees a WiFi network called "CoffeeShop_Free_WiFi" and connects. It is not the real coffee shop network — someone set up a fake hotspot with that name. Every website visited, every password typed, every message sent goes directly through the attacker's device. The believer logs into a Christian forum and their account credentials are stolen.
Rules for ANY public WiFi:
This applies everywhere: coffee shops, restaurants, malls, libraries, co-working spaces, parks, buses, trains, hospitals, waiting rooms, schools — any WiFi you do not personally own and control.

Hotel WiFi is shared by hundreds of guests and staff. In many countries, hotel internet traffic is legally required to be logged and shared with authorities.
A ministry team checks into a hotel in a monitored country. They assume the room is private and hold a video call over hotel WiFi to plan the week's outreach — names, locations, church contacts. The hotel WiFi logs every connection. Government agencies reviewing the logs see: connections to a Christian video platform, a church coordination website, and encrypted messaging traffic — all tied to the room number and the passport used at check-in.

After passing: Re-download your VPN app, contact your coordinator for your connection link, and reconnect.

Many believers assume home internet is safe because it is private. In countries like Russia, China, Iran, and Turkmenistan, this is not true. Home internet providers are legally required to log all activity and share it with authorities.
A believer connects to a VPN every Sunday morning from 8-11am and every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. Even without seeing the content, the pattern itself identifies them as a likely church participant. Authorities begin targeted surveillance of that household.

Your Subscription Link is private and personal. Each person receives their own unique link. It must NEVER be shared — not in a group chat, not on social media, not by text message, not by email, not even with a trusted friend.
If someone needs access to AgapeTree VPN, do not give them your link. Direct them to contact their coordinator or email [email protected] so they can receive their own private link.

You need a Subscription Link — a special web address that connects your app to AgapeTree's servers. You will receive this link from your team coordinator after completing this training. Without this link, the app cannot connect.

You do not need both apps. Choose one — either Hiddify or Happ. Both connect to the same servers using the same subscription link. Pick whichever works best for you.
If the app you chose is not available in your country's app store or is blocked, download the other one instead. They work the same way.

Open Google Play Store, search for Hiddify and install it.
Open the app. Tap + or Add Profile.
Tap Add from URL. Paste the link you received, then tap OK or Import.
Tap the big Connect button. Allow VPN when asked. The button turns green when connected. ✅
Happ — Android
Open Google Play Store, search for Happ Proxy Utility and install.
Open app. Tap Subscriptions at the bottom, then tap +.
Tap URL Subscription. Paste your link and tap Save.
Go to main screen and tap Connect. Allow VPN when asked. ✅
Hiddify — iPhone / iPad
Open App Store, search for Hiddify and tap Get.
Open Hiddify. Tap +, choose Add from URL.
Paste the link and tap Import. Servers load automatically.
Tap Connect. Allow VPN, enter passcode if asked. Green = connected. ✅
Happ — iPhone / iPad
Search Happ Proxy Utility in App Store. Tap Get. Requires iOS 15+.
Open app. Tap Subscriptions at bottom, then +.
Choose URL Subscription. Paste link and tap Save.
Tap Connect. Allow VPN. ✅
Hiddify — Mac
Go to hiddify.com → Download for macOS. Open .dmg and drag to Applications.
If Mac warns "unknown developer" → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Click + → Add from URL → paste link → Import.
Click Connect. Enter password if asked. Menu bar icon shows when connected. ✅
Happ — Mac
Open Mac App Store, search Happ Proxy Utility. Click Get.
Open Happ. Click Subscriptions → + → URL Subscription → paste → Save.
Click Connect. Allow VPN. ✅
Hiddify — Windows (Only App for Windows)
Go to hiddify.com → Download for Windows. Run the installer.
Find in Start Menu. If Windows shows warning → More Info → Run Anyway.
Click + → Add from URL → paste link → Import. Servers appear.
Click Connect. Allow changes if asked. Button turns green, taskbar icon appears. ✅
Your subscription link will be delivered to you personally by your team coordinator after you complete this training. Remember:

Your coordinator will deliver your personal Subscription Link. Once you receive it, follow the setup instructions in Module 7 to connect.
